6th Annual Mt. Adams Country Bicycle Tour & Family Fun Ride
Saturday June 28, 2008

Tour riders, family, and friends -- Welcome to Trout Lake and "the land of the forgotten giant -- Mt Adams." The benefit of this non-profit, all volunteer staffed ride is Trout Lake School Extracurricular Programs.

Event Details & Registration

The Sixth Annual Mt Adams Country Tour (MACBT) promises to be better than ever. We will still offer the 11.5 mile Family Fun Ride (White), the 51 Mile Valley Loop (Yellow), (Trout Lake, BZ, Glenwood, and back to Trout Lake), the 105 Mile Forest Double Loop (Green and Yellow). The ride is fully supported with sagwagons, emergency teams, radio coverage, snacks/rest stops, lunch for century riders and dinner for all others. See below for ride descriptions.

11.5 Mile Family Fun Ride (White): The not too demanding Family Fun Ride circles the beautiful Trout Lake valley with panoramic views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood. All but one mile of this route is on country roads with minimal traffic. Check-in/Registration Time: 11:00am to 1:00pm

51 Mile Valley Loop (Yellow): This loop takes you south to BZ Corners where you make a left turn and climb for 6.5 miles through spectacular rural, farmland scenery. You pass by Conboy Lake Wildlife Refuge with many glimpses of Mt. Adams and you may see elk, deer and birds indigenous to the area. You then circle back through pine forest and back into the Trout Lake Valley. 51 miles total/2,700' elevation gain. Check-in/Registration Time: 8:00am to 11:00am

105 Mile MACBT Forest Double Loop (Green 54 Mile loop and Yellow 51 Mile Loop): From Trout Lake you climb 14.5 miles (2000' gain), including a short 10% incline and then a long ride down, down, with waterfalls, creeks, eagles and all the majesty this special country provides. From there a 10 mile climb up to Big Tire Junction and then on to one of the downhills you will never forget, back to Trout Lake. Total of  3,800' elevation gain. Then to Heavenly Grounds Coffee Shop, on the east side of the gas station, for lunch before continuing on with the Yellow Loop to complete your 105 mile ride. Total elevation gain for both loops is 6,500'. Check in/Registration Time: 7:00am to 10:00am

Cost of the 51 -105 mile ride is $50.00 before June 23, $60.00 after June 23,2008.

Cost of the 11.5 mile Family Fun Ride is $15.00, includes bento dinner, no t shirt.

Additional dinners can be purchased for $10.00 each if available.
